Eye - catching and durable, the carpets, durries and rugs are specialties of Himachal. The weave together with interplay of colour creates a striking effect. The carpets and rugs carry geometric designs or portray the effervescence of flowers. Some of the patterns incorporate animal figures, the dragon, swastika and symbols in eight-pointed motifs.
